Stefan K. Kolev is Associate Professor at the Institute of Electronics, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Sofia. He earned both his M.S. in organic chemistry, graduating summa cum laude in 2007, and his Ph.D. in computational chemistry in 2014 from St. Clement of Ohrid University of Sofia, Bulgaria, for his research in the area of quantum chemistry of biomolecules. From 2013 to 2016, he worked as a chemical technologist at Bioinnovative Ltd., Varna, Bulgaria. His current research is focused on quantum physical properties of graphene, other carbon-based compounds, and silicon, for developing of novel electrical sensors and devices.
